Orkney plays host to many events and festivals throughout the year with opportunities to enjoy traditional, jazz, country and classical music.
The St. Magnus Festival is Orkney’s midsummer celebration of the arts, often featuring international artists, theatre, poetry and exhibitions.
Orkney has a very strong farming community and this is reflected in the many agricultural shows that take place in the first and second weeks of August.
This culminates with the County Show which is the biggest event in the Orcadian agricultural calendar.
